Thank you for supporting your EK Powe PTA! Your generosity helps us provide valuable resources and support for our students and teachers. We appreciate your support in helping our Powe community thrive.

As a PTA, we support the school, our students, and our families in 5 key areas both financially and with our time and energy:

1. Academic Support: Targeted programs that will help students and teachers, and that are not supported by DPS funding.

2. Community Building: Events to bring our community together, such as the Annual Carnival, PoweFest, Durham Bulls games, and PTA general events.

3. Teacher Appreciation/Retention: Reimbursement for supplies and materials that otherwise come out of teachers’ pockets, school-wide meals for educators, and thoughtful gestures throughout the year to let the teachers know how much we value them.

4. Extracurricular and Enrichment: Financial support for field trips, celebrations, Science Olympiad, clubs, etc.

5. Gardens and Grounds: We plant and maintain gardens and ensure the grounds are welcoming to all.
